Corporate social responsibility
"The fundamental concept of social responsibility is that an organization accepts a moral obligation to be accountable for its impacts on society and the environment."
ISO 26000 Guidance on Social Responsibility, 2007
The Gillie Partnership Ltd aims to minimise the impact of its business activity on the environment, wherever possible. In practical terms, this means that
- Since 2006, we have sent electronic Christmas and New Year cards to clients, rather than paper ones, in order to reduce the amount of resources we use.
- Starting with our financial year 2008 – 2009, we are offsetting CO2 produced by business mileage and flights by funding greenhouse gas reduction projects.
- Finally, from 2009, all paper used to produce our printed reports and training materials is accredited as environmentally friendly by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Our paper is certified as FSC Mixed Sources, from well–managed forests and other controlled sources.
We are also proud to be a Corporate Member of our local Wildlife Trust, BBOWT, signalling our concern for the natural environment.
